st Contact Group, which was established in 1994 and offers a range of services to people living and working in the UK.
In 2001 1st Contact started offering money transfers and foreign exchange services to our clients - services traditionally provided by the high street banks and larger money transfer agents.
We saw the opportunity to offer a speedy, secure and cost effective money transfer service, with very competitive exchange rates and a very high service level, which gives clients constant access to expert consultants, either by telephone or via e-mail. Our clients also process their transactions online and use their debit cards, making ours an around-the-clock service.
Our money transfers and forex services have been incredibly popular and we now have over 40,000 registered clients and do over 100,000 transactions per year, with the annual turnover fast approaching £100 million.
1st Contact Forex’s growing client base includes migrants transferring money home to support family and loved ones, pay off debt, buy homes etc; expatriates repatriating funds; individuals investing overseas and small and medium-sized businesses importing and exporting goods.
At 1st Contact the security of our clients’ funds is of paramount importance. 1st Contact Forex is registered with HM Customs & Excise in the UK as a money services business with MSB registration number 12148630.

We meet required capital and liquidity requirements and stand under the financial controls and KYC (Know your client) policies and procedures of our corporate banker HSBC and ANZ Ltd. All client funds are held in designated Client Money bank accounts with our corporate banker HSBC and ANZ Ltd.
Our head office is in New Oxford Street in London and we have offices in Melbourne, Australia and Cape Town, South Africa.
