Transferring funds holds a £7 pound fee which is very reasonable. Also, every x transactions are free. The exchange rates offered are excellent, and even better if you transfer high volume. I am kept up to date on the progress of my transfer through email and SMS which is handy. When any hitches arise (eg.card payment declined), customer care are quick to contact you and were very helpful in rectifying the problem. I have done lots of transfers to Portugal and South Africa through 1st Contact Forex with no problems. Also done 1 transfer to New Zealand. They are very efficient and everything is done on line and automated with a better rate then I could get through my bank. I have no hesitation in highly recommending their Forex Service. I was recommended 1st Contact by a friend of mine whom had used it to transfer funds from Australia to the UK. I'm sceptical about any financial service and I made sure I did my research before carrying out any money transfer. 1st Contact was an easy service to register with and the money transfer procedure is transparent and easy to understand. You just tell them where you want the money sent, where it's coming from and how you want to send it. You then simply transfer the funds into their local bank account, let them know and the rest is done for you.

Put simply they delivered on what they advertised. I was always able to get in touch with an employee at the company if I needed a hand- and my queries via email were dealt with in hours (much better than some companies that wait 3 days to respond). They system was idiot proof and the money transfer service was quick, reliable and the money arrived quickly. Would not hesitate to recommend.

The fee is low (plus they give you a free transfer on your birthday!), the exchange rate is good. The service is quick and reliable. They are a trustworthy company. Any interaction with staff is polite and professional. Only little downside is they give the overseas bank account details in the UK format, which is confusing when entering it into the payment form for overseas bank, but this is a minor thing. I am very happy with this service and use it everytime without question.

1st Contact provide an excellent service. Have been using them for 3 years now for monthly transfers. Provide a better exchange rate than the so called big boys "HIFX etc". Despite having to pay a transfer fee - overall you still come out on top. Compare them and do your own research
