Sending amounts of over £10,000
There is no minimum or maximum amount that you can send through 1st Contact
Forex money transfers. However, if you wish to send home more than £10,000 in a
single amount, then Customs and Excise requires us to have further documentation
from you to prove where the money transfer is coming from.
We would need to see signed and dated copies of the following documents:
- Signed and dated passport
- Recent bank statements (for at least 2 months)
- Proof of funds: This varies from person to person depending on where the money
is from. If, for instance, it’s from your earnings, we would need to see the last
3 months’ pay slips. If the money is sourced from elsewhere, please call a Forex
consultant to discuss what documentation we will require.
These do not need to be certified, and internet banking print-outs are sufficient, but we do require you to sign and date each page individually.

Please note that guaranteed exchange rates will only apply if the client uses his/her own debit card on the website, registered under his/her own name. If a client uploads a transfer using a card registered under someone else’s name, this transfer will be subject to anti-money laundering security checks in compliance with the Data Protection Act, and as such, we cannot guarantee exchange rates for these transfers. Guaranteed exchange rates do not apply to internet banking or cash transfers.
